The next start date for the UKWA Warehouse Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) training programme will be January 2017.
Places are limited and those wishing to enrol are urged to do so as early as possible.
Developed by UKWA in partnership with Logistics Learning Alliance (LLA), the new course was launched in September 2016 with a pilot programme held at LLA’s training centre at Coalville near Leicester. Among the first to be involved were companies including Eddie Stobart, Mini Clipper Logistics and Henry Diaper.
Feedback from those participating in the pilot programme has been overwhelmingly positive. Eddie Stobart’s Richard Cunningham stated: I found the course to be of the upmost relevance to my current role. The course mentor has been great and I also enjoy being able to dedicate time at work and at home to developing my career. Overall, I would give the course top marks.
Peter Ward, UKWA’s CEO, commented: We are delighted that the industry has recognised the value of this structured approach to training. The course is focused, relevant and designed to meet the needs of our sector. The UKWA Warehouse Manager CPC is rapidly becoming established as the industry standard of achievement for Warehouse Managers.
